According to the experts, there are always some things we should keep in our car like a flashlight, spare tire, water and jumper cables. I, however, decided to take it one step further. Here are some of my essential non-essentials your trunk should also contain in case of a fashion emergency (e.g., a last-minute meeting or happy hour with the crew). While it may seem like a lot, you’ll thank me later when you’re prepared for whatever comes your way.
- Sneakers – You will be relieved to have these sneaks on hand in case you ever have to unexpectedly trek somewhere! Or if your feet are in pain thanks to those cute heels you decided to wear. (Shop my favorites here)
- Sunglasses – If there is one thing I always have in my car, its a pair of sunglasses so I am never blinded by the sun.
- Lint Roller – Animal fur and napkin fuzz have met their match.
- Blanket – Not just an excuse for picnics or the beach (if you’re lucky enough to live close enough to one), they also provide warmth in case of an emergency.
- Umbrella– Because your outfit looks much cuter when it’s not soaking wet.
- Light Jacket – We’ve all had those moments when we’ve been caught in the chilly air. This is why I love a good layering piece like a denim jacket or trench coat.
- Neutral Heels – You won’t need a trip home and I am all about saving time! The easiest way to make your outfit ready for the evening is to keep a pair of heels in the car.
- Clutch – You’ll thank me for this one later when you have the perfect lightweight clutch handy! Then you won’t need to lug that huge purse around for your night out.
- Hat – Protect your skin in style. Need I say more?
- Tote Bag or Reusable Grocery Bag – You should always keep a tote or reusable bag handy in case you need an easy way to carry several items from you car. With bags as cute as these, who wouldn’t want one?
This is so cute. I always keep sneakers!
Ok I just bought that umbrella lol
It’s so cute! xx
Also First aid kit and wipes…especially if you have kids. Band aids are always needed spur of the moment and wipes can be helpful for spills, sticky hands or even tidy the car quickly before picking someone up.
Yes, these are all great things! I was hoping everyone had the basics on hand and I wanted to expand on that :))
