You guys know I have really been into activewear lately and I’ve been on a mission to research and share my favorites with you. So, as you can imagine I was really excited when I got the opportunity to try the new adidas x Universal Standard activewear collection. To be honest, I was blown away by the fit, quality of the fabric as well as the styles offered up to a 4x!
As a former fit model, I am incredibly picky about the above mentioned things (but even more so as a fashionista, I look for more contemporary options).. One of the most noticeable things about this collection for me were the styles offered. Items like the 3 Stripe Bodysuit in Royal Blue are pieces I wouldn’t usually find in plus. And, it fit like a dream, a win-win in my book. If royal blue isn’t your thing, they’ve also got a cute black bodysuit too. Not going to lie, I love a bodysuit for working out because I don’t have to think about matching tops and bottoms. Convenience, amiright?
Next up, let’s talk about fabric. This collection is everything and more I would come to expect from a collab with adidas and Universal Standard. Everything down to the performance tee I received in a bright yellow color felt like a second skin. I even decided to take the 3 Stripe ⅞ tights out for a light run the other day and not only did they stay in place and stay up, they felt so good, I didn’t want to take them off.
Overall, I am excited for you to try this collection and can’t wait to see what adidas & Universal Standard do next. If you are looking for solid performance basics but also love fashion like me, this collection has something for everyone. And the fact that they go up to a size 4x is a breath of fresh air in the activewear industry. The pieces I tried, definitely ran true to size for me, another bonus!
