When it comes to outfit dilemmas, a dress is almost always my favorite solution. Since I wear dresses pretty much year round, I can attest to this fact. There’s no need to worry about finding a matching top for your pants which makes it much easier to throw it on and go! There are definitely more cute dresses available now than in previous months so I’ve gone ahead and curated a few of my current favorites from Hutch Design. I have been working with them for some time now and they were kind enough to send over a few dresses for me to review from their recent collection with Modcloth. I’ve even included some tips below on how to transition your looks for cooler weather.

First up my ultimate summer favorite, the blocked eyelet tiered maxi dress. I love this open back dress for it’s fun colors and cool silhouette. You don’t often see open backless options in plus sizes but Hutch nailed this dress design. Don’t let the open back scare you though, I am able to wear it without a bra and there is plenty of support. Even Miss Alex LaRosa raved about the dress and was able to wear it braless too!
Next up another summer favorite which could easily transition to fall, the Amorous Ambrosia Maxi Dress. Hello color! We love a versatile dress too, and this style can be worn on or off the shoulder. *Sizing note on this one – there is no stretch so please consult the size chart. I normally wear a size 20 but in this case I ordered a size 24 for extra room.

Lastly, a few of my favorite floral wrap dresses can be found in the latest drop. The sleeveless ruffle wrap maxi dress is one was my fav and it comes in two other colors as well. These ones fit pretty true to size and I normally take a 2x for plenty of room. Sizing note ( I am wearing a 1x here for a snugger fit – bustier gals definitely order your normal size).

Now, if you want to change up your look a bit add some fun accessories to the mix. Some of my favorite places to find handbags are Cult Gaia, Staud and Shopbop. Throwing on a denim jacket or blazer when the temps start to drop, is the perfect way to help transition your dresses into the next season. You can also wear any of the options above with sandals to keep your summer vibe going. Boots or tennis shoes work well as we transition into the next season.
