The key to getting dressed as the season transitions from Winter into the warmer months of Spring is dressing in layers. One day its sunny and you don’t need a jacket and the next you walk out the door wondering why you’re freezing to death! I’ve teamed up with Catherine’s to share a few of my favorite layering pieces for the season to help make your transition flawless. Right now I’m loving all their easy layering cardigans, tank tops, tees and jackets in neutral tones and bright colors!
Look 1: I love the nautical vibe for Spring (which is gonna be so huge for this season so stock up!) and if you aren’t into super bold colors, navy and white can be your go to. The key to this look is wearing a pair of fitted cropped pants, like these modern stretch capris or denim with a tank and draped cardigan on the top. It shows of your just enough of your curves without being too tight!
I opted to pair this look with some heels and red bag for a pop of color to tie everything together.
Outfit 2: So it’s definitely no secret that I love to wear dresses and layering them with cardigans and jackets are one of my favorite things to do. This outfit was so easy, I was able to style it quite a few different ways. I opted to pair the Black Label Rodeo Cove Dress with Paradise Valley Cardigan in Cobalt (one of my favorite colors!). I wore belted for one look and not belted for the second.
For a third look, I threw on a white Catherine’s jacket from a previous season. The layering cardigan currently available at Catherine’s would work great with this look as well. Catherine’s makes some great layering pieces so if you’re looking for the perfect lightweight options for weekend wear or work right now, they’ve got you covered.
We only have a few more months of layers before we will be reaching for our summer clothes, so I like to get a head start on my essentials. If I break out each piece of this outfit, they can easily each work on their own this spring.
