THE NEW GIRL EXPO DOWNTOWN LA

Ever wakeup and feel like you wanted a new look but you didn’t know where to go or where to start (reading this blog is definitely a good start though!) Enter The New Girl Expo, an event that essentially creates a fun consumer experience to mix and mingle and provides all the amenities that one needs for a head-to-toe makeover.  While I’m always down for a good event, I was thrilled when I was invited to speak at two of the panels for the expo: Maximizing Your Wardrobe and Growing Your Online Brand/Image.  It was great to have the opportunity to speak in front of a group that was really interested in not just what I was doing as a curvy blogger but also curious about brand strategy/ connecting with your audience, wardrobe challenges, and of course things I wish I’d known before I started blogging aka lessons learned (this could definitely be a post in itself)!

As a side note, can I just say thank you to Lane Bryant for saving the day and providing me with my outfit for the Panel?! I completely fell in LOVE with the 6th & Lane Moto Leather Moto jacket and of course had to create an outfit around it. This was definitely a different look for me and sometimes its nice to get outside your comfort zone and take fashion risks. I paired the jacket with a white tank from Melissa McCarthy’s new line and some black distressed skinny denim jeans to complete my look which you can shop below!
